(WMC-TV) - Are you a poker star? Perhaps you love to play, but the drive to Tunica makes you crazy. Or maybe you just have a great poker face... The Humane Society of Memphis & Shelby County has got you covered -- for one night at least!

The humane society is hosting an "All in for Animals" charity Texas hold 'em poker tournament offering participants a night of cards, beer, and bourbon.

The buy-in is $50 if you register in advance, or $60 at the door.  Included in the entry fee is a beer and bourbon bar, "pub grub" from Moe's Southwest Grill and Humdingers, and of course, a night of poker play to help the animals.

The top players will not go home empty handed.

The grand prize is a weekend in Tunica from Caesar's Entertainment.  That includes a two-night stay at Harrah's Tunica Casino and Hotel, dinner for two at Jack Binion's Steakhouse, and two rounds of golf at The Links at Cottonwoods Golf Course.

Here is a list of the other prizes:

  • 2nd place prize is $125 worth of gas and groceries from Kroger
  • 3rd place prize is a cocktail basket donated by The Venue Memphis
  • Additional prizes include a Roadhouse Tournament seat, movie passes, gift certificates, and more.

The "All in for Animals" poker tournament will take place at the Humane Society of Memphis & Shelby County (935 Farm Road) this Saturday, February 23, at 6 p.m. You can pre-register by visiting thehumane society's website or by calling 901-937-3900.
