It’s here. A season that many fans nationwide and in the Mid-South dream about year-round — Girl Scout Cookie season.
And for the second year, mobile users can locate Girl Scout Cookie booths from a mobile device.
The Girl Scouts Heart of the South Council will be sprouting up booths around the Mid-South selling celebrated favorites from Samoas to Thin Mints, starting February 22 until March 17.
The booths will be open Fridays through Saturdays.
Girl Scout Cookie Program sales are down and the local council is asking people to support girls and buy cookies.
Now, supporting your local Girl Scout troop is easier than ever. Just download the “Cookie Locator” app and enter your zip code. The app will even provide a map for the user.
Better yet, the app provides additional perks like cookie nutrition facts and unique recipes. For those who insist on being active cookie buyers, you can even sign up for alerts.
Aside from techonlogy, Director of Marketing and Communications for Girl Scouts Heart of the South Jenny Jones said that a Girl Scout Cookie can help girls dream more.
“The qualities that girls learn through the Cookie Program help them throughout life and they become more resourceful and productive citizens who contribute to their communities,” said Jones.
A box of Girl Scout Cookies is $3.50. You can also use the Girl Scouts’ website here to locate cookie booths.
