Cooking up something different

Genghis Grill-The Mongolian Stir Fry, is a build your own bowl, fast casual, Asian stir-fry concept.

Customers like the "Build your own bowl" experience in which they can choose their protein, seasonings, vegetables, sauce and starch — then have their fresh-cooked meal brought to the table. The brand’s loyal fans also enjoy posting their favorite bowl choices on the Genghis Grill’s Facebook fan page. Genghis also courts to-go orders with its online ordering.

The atmosphere is colorful, lively, and a lot of fun! It's actually not a cuisine, but an INTERACTIVE style of exhibition cooking modeled after a centuries-old legend. According to this legend, 12th century Mongol warriors, led by the mighty warrior GENGHIS KHAN, heated their shields over open fires to grill food in the fields of battle!!

Chicago for Real

Bill and his brothers came to the studio and brought some amazing stuff. The pizzas were great and fresh.

I love the relish that is on a Chicago style hot dogs and this is the right stuff. They bring in the meats from the real Chicago venders.

It is authentic Chicago food experience south of the Mansion Dixon Line. Now you don’t have to make the 531 mile trip; just a trip to Horn Lake.

PS Everyone can be a Cubs fan for one day right?. Stay hungry my friends. Certificates available at www.halfoffmidsouth.com

Arlington scout troop builds birdhouses for missionaries

Information provided by Boy Scout Troop 452:

Boy Scout Troop 452, chartered by Arlington United Methodist Church, first began making handcrafted birdhouses for Missions fundraisers in 2008 for Habitat for Humanity’s Toolbox Bash annual dinner/silent auction as part of Habitat’s Youth United program and raised about $500 for missions on their first try.

Most recently, Troop 452 made 16 birdhouses to raise money for the combined mission team of Arlington, Vineyard and Christ United Methodist Churches in the Memphis area to go on a mission trip to Liberia, Africa in July.  Airfare has skyrocketed for the team of ten going to install dental equipment and plant palm oil trees as a means of income.  That income will be used to send their children to school as there are no free pubic schools in Liberia.
