Grizzlies announce summer basketball camps | Parents & kids

The Memphis Grizzlies, in conjunction with the National Basketball Academy, will host their annual Grizzlies Summer Hoops Camp Series at several locations in Memphis and the Mid-South during the upcoming months.

The camps are open for boys and girls ages 7-16, and will give these basketball enthusiasts of all skill levels and experience the chance to learn the game from the ground up.  From the art of the jumper to the beauty of text-book passing and defensive footwork, experienced instructors will be on hand to share their knowledge and love of the game during sessions that focus on improvement both for the individual and in the team setting. 

The Grizzlies Summer Hoops Camp Series includes eight sessions at various locations throughout the Memphis area, beginning with a June 6-10 clinic at the Collierville Community Center and concluding with an August 1-5 camp at the Germantown Athletic Club. Grizzlies guard Xavier Henry will join campers for a portion of the June 6-10 camp at the Collierville Community Center and Grizzlies guard Sam Young will stop by the June 13-17 camp at the Lifetime Fitness Center in Collierville. The Grizzlies will also host a camp in Missouri and another in Alabama. See below for a complete list of camp dates, times and locations.

Each camper will receive a ticket credit to a Grizzlies home game during the 2011-12 season, a camp t-shirt, a camp basketball and additional Grizzlies prizes and memorabilia.
