His shiner has healed, but investigators say they've caught the thief who held up a Regions Bank last week in Bartlett.

Shae Roy is accused of robbing the bank on March 16.

BARTLETT (WMC-TV) -- Cops are still trying to find the black eyed bandit who hit a Bartlett bank this week.  Action News 5 broke this story and we have been checking in daily to see if an arrest has been made.

Police are looking for a man with a black eye who robbed the Regions Bank in Bartlett Wednesday. 

Not only did the robber have a black eye, he was also short.  He stood about 5 feet 2 inches tall.

Police also told us his accomplice may have been caught on camera heading into the bathroom at the bank.

Just before 5 p.m. Wednesday, a crook walked into a Mid-South bank and moments later walked out with an unknown amount of cash.

Investigators say the man robbed the Regions Bank near Hwy. 64 and Kate Bond Rd. in Bartlett.

The Memphis and Bartlett Police Departments teamed up to put a pair of accused car burglars behind bars.

Terrance Monger and Billy Aldridge are charged with breaking into cars parked in at least five different shopping centers recently. Investigators say they targeted cars at Wal-Mart, Firebirds, Best Buy, Casa Mexicana and Target.

Thief opens fire on robbery victim

A man is in critical condition this morning after he was shot by a thief around 11:30 Wednesday night.

Officers say the man was shot during the robbery attempt in the 6400 block of Cheekwood Ave. The victim is currently in critical condition at the Med.

So far, no arrest has been made.

Man charged after teens threatened with shotgun

BARTLETT, Tenn. (AP) - A West Tennessee man has been charged after teenagers said he threatened a group of them with a shotgun.

Bartlett Police arrested Walter Brandon Palmer on Sunday and charged him with eight counts of aggravated assault, reported The Commercial Appeal. Police said the teens were all under 16 years old.
