Don’t wait to drop-off hazardous household waste
(WMC-TV) – Don’t wait for Memorial Day to drop off your household hazardous waste.
The Memphis and Shelby County Household Hazardous Waste facility is going to be closed May 26 for Memorial Day.
However, the facility will be open on Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Here are items that are typically acceptable to drop-off:
- Aerosol spray cans (with content)
- Automotive fluids
- Antifreeze
- Brake fluid
- Engine cleaners
- Motor oil
- Starter fluid
- Batteries
- Automotive
- Cleaners
- All purpose cleaners
- Bleach
- Oven cleaners
- Metal cleaners
- Polishes
- Toilet cleansers
- Construction & Home Repair products
- Adhesives
- Caulk
- Driveway sealant
- Grease and rust solvents
