Appling Middle School hosted 33 veterans, including two survivors of World War II, at its “Heroes for Heroes” luncheon last week.

Hero sandwiches were provided for all of the special guests courtesy of Pietro’s.

Among the names and photos added to the school’s Hero Wall of Fame this year were Appling’s very own Anne Faulks, U.S. Navy, Joaquin Loper, U.S. Air Force, Andrew Blair, U.S. Army, and Stephen Williams, U.S. Army.
