Mary “T.T.” Wade is celebrating her 102nd birthday this weekend.

The lifelong Bartlett resident says she still likes to do crossword puzzles and goes to church every Sunday.

She also says she loves to watch Dave Brown and Ron Childers every day on Action News 5.

MLGW phone lines going down Thursday night

MLGW’s phone bank will be down for a couple of hours Thursday night for maintenance.

The utility company says its customer care center will be down from 11 p.m. Thursday night until 1 a.m. Friday morning. Both 820-7878 and 544-MLGW will be out of service during this time, but the utility says it shouldn’t have a large impact on customers because the numbers are typically unmanned during those hours.

Federal, state agents raid Bartlett doctor's office

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Authorities raided the office of a Bartlett doctor who has had previous state sanctions issued against his medical license.

Federal, state and local agents removed files from the office of Dr. Michael A. Patterson on Wednesday, but The Commercial Appeal reported Patterson was not at the office.

The agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Shelby County Sheriff's Office and the federal Drug Enforcement Agency would not comment at the scene, the newspaper reported. The U.S. Attorney's Office in Memphis and the TBI also would not comment on the investigation when reached by The Associated Press.

A phone number listed for Patterson's office had been disconnected on Thursday morning when the AP tried to reach the doctor.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is installing the chargers at select restaurant locations across Tennessee and is becoming a participant in the EV Project, an initiative to increase adoption of electric vehicles by creating a charging infrastructure.

The EV Project is managed by ECOtality, which is providing the electric chargers to the Cracker Barrel locations.

"Becoming a leader in The EV Project continues our tradition of striving to anticipate and meet our guests´ expectations and, at the same time, allows us to participate in a meaningful way in the nation´s explorations of energy independence," CEO Michael A. Woodhouse said.

A total of 24 chargers will be installed along "The Tennessee Triangle," a 425 mile stretch of highway that connects Nashville, Knoxville and Chattanooga.

Fans of fine art get chance to see city’s artists

The Bartlett Art Association will give people a chance to see work by some of the area’s artists next month.

The group is hosting a reception Saturday, Dec.11, from 5 p.m. until  8 p.m. at the Atrium Gallery inside Saint Francis Hospital - Bartlett.

City’s Christmas parade approaching fast

Bartlett’s Christmas parade is moving to a new time, but organizers say families can expect the same fun as always.

The city’s parade will get moving at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4.

Horses, floats, vintage cars, clowns and marching bands will all make their way down the parade route.
